Death Wish

So you claim you’ve always wanted to do for the country, that which is good,

However, most of you has, on a daily basis, conduct that some would believe is misunderstood.

Misunderstanding is not what’s going on,

You’ve entered into a institution (mental), that you figure, no one else belongs.

Now, for some reason, you think “you’re really hot”,

A newbie or vet doesn’t matter, those that are outside, now call you “big shot”.

Not so fast, you wannabe ruler of the people who voted you in,

Your job, originally was to work for your constituents, time to begin.

But no, now everything has changed,

Officially inside now, you have become “completely deranged”.

What is it about power, that changes women and men,

Once obtained, most go on to a life-long adventure, immersed in sin.

I’m looking from my throne, high above in the sky with Rose (that’s Alvin Mann’s daughter),

And we (she and I) both are not pleased, with the road you have chose.

She questions, she says Father, why have they so quickly changed,

I explained to her, that most people don’t know how to effectively manage power, and become deranged.

Passing so many laws that put people’s lives in jeopardy and immense harm,

All the while, speaking ever so eloquently, my don’t you have “such considerable charm”.

And you keep changing laws, and turning back time: when will it stop,

Guess what, you all, on a regular basis, better start looking at your clock.

Freedom is not just a word,
